AssistOn-Walk is a light-weight mobile powered exoskeleton designed for users with limited mobility. AssistOn-Walk can assist its users to reduce the physical burden of locomotion, enable safe and versatile mobility with increased intensity, and record its user activity through quantitative measurements.
AssistOn-Walk can provide a good match with its user’s movements, guaranteeing ergonomics and comfort throughout whole human workspace. Thanks to its light-weight and passively backdrivable design, users can move the device transparently, without much interference of the device dynamics on natural movements, even when the device is not active.
The controllers of AssistOn-Walk provide assistance forces to enable its users to complete their locomotion tasks, while ensuring the coordination of and the synchronization among various joint movements, and letting its users take control of the speed of the tasks.
